UPLOAD FORM WON’T WORK?

OK, so it seems some people are having trouble with the form and can’t seem to make it work, so here’s the basic lowdown on what could be going wrong. Try these tips before emailing me on myspace ok.

1. CHECK THE FILE SIZE! If you send me huge files I can’t post them, it screws everything up ok.  Make sure your file size is under 300kb.  If it is bigger the form won’t accept it.  If you don’t know what size or width your file is just right-click on it and choose ‘Properties’ from the popup menu.  That will tell you everything about your pic.

2. CHECK YOUR PIC WIDTH! Check the dimensions of your pic and if it’s bigger than 600px wide the form won’t accept it. If you don’t know how to resize your pics ask your photographer to give you some pics you can use online, and tell them you want 600px wide. Most photogs will do this for you. If not you can check out an online resizer!

3. FILE NAME! OK this may be a bit techie for some, but if the name of your pic ends in JPG or JPEG (all uppercase) it won’t work.  Make sure it looks like ‘filename.jpg’ and NOT ‘filename.JPG’ etc.  The uppercase causes a bug and deletes the images.    This is the MOST COMMON problem! 

WHY HAVEN’T I SEEN MY PIC POSTED?

READ THE GUIDELINES! OK so if you sent your pics in and haven’t seen them posted up it’s because of one or two things.  Here’s the Guidelines posted again in case you missed em:

1. NO DETAILS! This is the first thing to look for. If you didn’t send me the details of the photographer, the makeup artist or yourself (yep I get emails from people who don’t even identify themselves. Kinky and cool, but not gonna get you posted!). Check the email you sent me and make sure you included the names AND links to profiles of everyone involved.

2. NOT RETRO! I love girls of all kinds, and hot pics are hot pics… but the site is for the retro-styled pin-up with a modern twist. If you send me something from an 80’s lingerie catalog it wont go on the site. I’ll keep it of course, but won’t post it! Same for nudity - send me all the nude pics you want and I won’t say no… but they won’t get posted.

3. CRAP QUALITY! Look you don’t have to be a professional model to get Posted.  TONS of the girls on PinupPost are amateurs, as are some of the photographers.  However, your shots do need to be of sufficient quality to get posted.  If you and your boyfriend/partner/BFF love to take photo’s that fantastic, and if they are high enough quality we’ll post em.  Take a look at the shots on PinupPost now.  Are your shots that quality or better?  Then I want em!  If not, they’ll get deleted.

4. MY DECISION!  At the end of the day you may also not get posted because I chose not to post you.  It’s NOT personal, I just have to make a decision on who is going to get posted that day, and the best pic I get submitted wins.  If I get 8, 9 or 10 shots submitted in a day and yours doesn’t comply with one or more of the above you won;t make it.  Don’t take it personal and send me ‘please explain’ emails,  I wont reply and you won’t get posted in the future either.
