I am sick and gutted at the same time. She was the inspiration for an entire ‘look’ that the girls of the kustom kulture world have adopted, transformed and made their own. The very fact that this site exists at all is because of her and her influence. Hell, half the women I’ve ever chased have looked like her, because of her!
We have lost the greatest pin-up icon of all time… and I’m lost for words.

If it wasn’t for your rebel heart Bettie, there wouldn’t be a place for the rest of us rebels. Even a touch of her spirit in our lives is empowering. Innocent & Naughty. she knew how to live! God rest her restless soul.

When I found out i was devastated! But i know she’s in a better place. She was one of my biggest inspiration and one of the reasons I wanted to be a pin-up artist. She was and will always be The Pin-up Queen!! I wish i could tell her how much she inspired me and my life.
To Bettie Page with love..

Oh, Bettie. Irish, I think that for many ladies on this site with those trademark ‘Bettie bangs’, doing their hair everyday will become a more poignanant ritual. Why, just the other day I could barely break out the styling brush and Cedel hairspray without shedding a tear.
It sounds silly, but I think Bettie will live on in all of us in some small way… a cheeky grin, a startled pout, and of course, The Hair.
